The 2nd network meeting of the ZIM network CleanRiverSolutions took place on 2 July 2019 at the University of Applied Sciences Magdeburg-Stendal. In addition to presenting the current status of the network, the network partners gave presentations on new research approaches in our fields of action. The meeting was rounded off by exciting insights into the practical work of the Institute for Mechanical Engineering (Instituts für Maschinenbau) and the Institute for Water Management and Ecotechnology (Instituts für Wasserwirtschaft und Ökotechnologie) at the university. Particularly interesting were the explanations given by Martina Findling and Martin Drewes from Startup Inflotec. They have developed an innovative mobile water treatment system that can be used in rivers. A recent test in Kenya was very successful.
